Hi! My name is Peter, and I provide high-quality small home repairs. I am licensed, insured, and ready to take care of your home projects. 

I started Joseph’s Hammer LLC in April of 2023 and am using the knowledge and skills that I have gained from my past work and personal experiences to provide small home and yard repairs to those in my community.

My story

I am an Air Force veteran who served in Tokyo, Japan and the state of Montana for six years.

In the military I was a heavy construction equipment operator & road builder. I graduated from the Air Force College with a degree in Construction Technology.

After my service, I enjoyed working at a company where I built custom sheds, horse barns, greenhouses, chicken coops, etc.

When my wife, Meghan, and I got married in 2020, we remodeled our small 19th century home into a French Cottage themed Airbnb/Vrbo.

I enjoyed the process of renovating our old home, I learned that handyman work was a service that I wanted to offer to help others complete their own home projects. Helping others to optimize the function and enjoyment of their home spaces is a fun process to be a part of.

My wife and I are both from the Sacramento area and are happy to be raising our family and working in the area.  We have a two year old son named James, a 3 month old daughter, Elizabeth, and a golden doodle, Belle. We live in Placerville and are enjoying the country lifestyle tending to our chickens and gardening in our free time with plans of getting honeybees and sheep in the future.

Who is Joseph? 

I used the name “Joseph” in honor of Jesus’s earthly father Joseph, who was not only a carpenter but a general construction worker in the first century called a téktōn. The Greek word “téktōn” means stonemason, woodworker, builder, craftsman, artisan, etc.

My middle name is Joseph and I was born on March 19th, St. Joseph Day. 

St. Joseph is the patron saint of workers, home sales, realtors, fathers, families, and home life.
