Hi! My name is Peter, and I provide high-quality home repairs. I am bonded, insured, and just received my General B Contractor License in February of 2026, and am eager to take care of your home and yard projects.
I started Joseph’s Hammer LLC in April of 2023 and am using the knowledge and skills that I have gained from my past work and personal experiences to provide home and yard repairs and upgrades to those in my community.

Who is Joseph?
I used the name “Joseph” in honor of Jesus’s earthly father Joseph, who was not only a carpenter but a general construction worker in the first century called a téktōn. The Greek word “téktōn” means stonemason, woodworker, builder, craftsman, artisan, etc.
My middle name is Joseph and I was born on March 19th, St. Joseph Day.
St. Joseph is the patron saint of workers, home sales, realtors, fathers, families, and home life.
My Story
I am an Air Force veteran who served in Tokyo, Japan and the state of Montana for six years. In the military I was a heavy construction equipment operator & road builder. I graduated from the Air Force College with a degree in Construction Technology. After my service, I enjoyed working at a company where I built custom sheds, horse barns, greenhouses, chicken coops, etc.
When my wife, Meghan, and I got married in 2020, we remodeled our small 19th century home into a French Cottage themed Airbnb/Vrbo.
I enjoyed the process of renovating our old home, and I learned that handyman work was a service that I wanted to offer to help others complete their own home projects. Helping others to optimize the function and enjoyment of their home spaces is a fun process to be a part of.
My wife and I are both from the Sacramento area and are happy to be raising our family and working in the area. We have a three year old son named James, a 1 year old daughter, Elizabeth, a baby boy on the way, and a golden doodle, Belle and Great Pyrenees farm dog, Leopold. We live in Placerville and are enjoying the country lifestyle tending to our chickens and dairy sheep and gardening in our free time. We also enjoy time in nature and exploring El Dorado County and all the beauty and fun that it has to offer.
