If a fence is leaning

This happens when the post is rotten from water damage close to the ground.    The fence post can be repaired in two different ways: 1. EZ Mender metal bracket (cost effective and it works to keep the fence upright). 2. Replacing the 4×4 with a new post & concrete (more expensive). 

Gate is not latching

Gates need repairs because over time the fence posts with the attached hinges are either rotten or the gate itself is old and needs replacing.   

It’s best to rebuild the gate and a new post. This will give you the assurance that the gate will be in good working order for a long time. Small repairs on a gate is good as a temporary solution only. 

Why staining is recommended

Building a gate with the wood exposed to the snow, rain and sun without any stain will deteriorate faster.    Using a stain (so it looks prettier) is going to make the fence and gate last much longer and will withstand the weather elements.

These photos below are projects I have completed which were used with this product.    This customer chose to have regular white paint for the picket fence (a less expensive option). 

This photo is of a new gate constructed with the white stain. It looks like normal paint but will not chip because it is a stain. It is however more expensive and will last much longer.
